Erik Van Horn worked as a crab fisherman out of Kodiak, Alaska for 7 years and as a timber framer before finding furniture making. He has been at Erickson Woodworking for 5 years and handles all shipping and delivery arrangements besides working at his bench and helping in sales at shows and events.
This bar stool is made to accommodate a 36″ high counter. The wood in this chair is European elm.
This is a new version of the Van Muyden Chair completely rethought and constructed. I created several new templates and the upholstery allows a color addition.

June 16, 2011 This is the latest version of the Westport Chair series. Painted with AwlGrip epoxi primer and topcoat by Laben Ellis. All fittings are brass and bronze. The frame under the seat is powder coated welded steel by Don Mosman.
